Essentials

LABS connects Audiotool to Spitfire Audio’s LABS plugin through the Booster. You sequence MIDI in Audiotool, and open LABS to pick an instrument. Use it to play Spitfire’s free or paid sample libraries and instruments.

Setup

1. Install the Booster (see Booster for download and installation instructions).

2. Sign up for a free Spitfire Audio account.

3. Download and install Spitfire LABS:.

   • Go to https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/download

   • Scroll down and Download “LABS” for Mac/Windows .

   • “Splice Instruments” is currently not supported.

4. With the Booster running and LABS installed, open/refresh any project in the studio.

5. Drag the LABS device from the Device Browser into your studio.

6. Press Open on the device box to show the Spitfire LABS plugin window.

7. Download and select an instrument in the LABS plugin window.

8. Write notes, play live via MIDI, route input and output as any other device in the studio.
