ToneMatrix is a visual step-sequencer and simple synthesizer. Click to place notes on a 16×16 grid, add groove, and optionally route MIDI to other synths. Perfect for creating melodic patterns, experimental sequences, or controlling other synthesizers.

Create a Pattern

Create your first melodic pattern step by step.

1. Click on any square to activate a note.

2. Add more notes across the grid.

3. Press Play in the transport bar to play the pattern.

4. The pattern plays left-to-right and loops continuously.

Controls

Pattern slots	Choose one of the 8 pattern slots to edit and play
Clear	Clear the current pattern
Groove	Turn the assigned groove on or off
Grid (16×16)	Pattern layout: Columns: steps in time Rows: pitches notes higher or lower
